Swimming pool, 7.6 km (1h 55′)

(warm up) 1000 fs;
4 × 400 fs @5’40” (band) +
4 × 300 fs @4’15” (band) +
4 × 200 fs @2’50” (band) +
4 × 100 fs @1’25” (band) + 100 easy;
5 × 200 fs @2’40” (fins) +
5 × 100 fs @1’20” + 100 easy;
10 × 50 @50″ (25 fly/25 fs);
200 fs (pull) + 200 easy

Notes: today I trained alone, it’s Sunday. From today I want to use more often the rubber band. I think that it’s one of the most effective (and cheaper) toys you can have. I used it for the main set, and I think that it’s great because it gives you not only a fantastic upper body workout (more strength) but you also have to swim more effectively (improved technique), trying to get as long as you can and then pulling and pushing as far as you can. After the sets with the band and the one with fins, on the last set of 100s I was easily swimming 1’10″~1’11”.
